July Spirit Night at Las Palmas was a special occasion. It’s always a special occasion when we can gather with friends and family, but the outpouring of love and support from the community made July’s Spirit Night especially special.
The tornado
Tornadoes ripped through Rogers on May 26, 2024, causing an estimated 33 million dolllars’ worth of damage. Our playground was destroyed and the church sustained severe damage.
More than 30,000 people in our town were without power, and the roads were largely impassible. Fortunately, Brick Street’s main structures were not damaged.
Spirit Night
We have Spirit Night at Las Palmas three times a year, February, July, and October. Just choose Las Palmas on those nights and tell your server you’re attending Spirit Night for Brick Street. 15% of the funds go to Brick Street.
In July, we were able to collect $440, which went back to the church for repairs of the tornado damage.
Pastor Brenda Wideman said very accurately that the tornado was a traumatic event for the church and for Brick Street, but it is wonderful to see how this trial has brought our community together.
